To ensure optimum long-term security, we recommend regularly checking the condition of your net and its installation structure.
As safety is the top priority at LOFTNETS, we design home nets whose entire system (net, fasteners, ropes, manufacture, installation) has been approved by an independent certified inspection office. This expertise enables us to deliver high-quality, ultra-secure nets.
Elements to check before using a net
Before each use of your home net, the following elements should be checked along with the net’s condition:
- Check the condition of the fasteners and that they are still firmly fixed in place
- Check that the starting and end knots are still tight and have not come undone
- Check the condition of the tensioning rope used for lacing, ensuring it is not frayed, cut or worn
- Check the condition of the meshes around the edge of the net. When properly tensioned, these should show no signs of wear, breakage or cutting
- Check the overall condition of the net, the bolt rope (or double bolt rope), the border if one is present, and all the meshes in the net. These should not appear dry or brittle, and should not be damaged or cut. The bolt rope’s threads should not be cut or split
- Check the net has not been damaged by any heat source. It should not show any signs of melting, burning or cutting
- Check the frame/supporting structure remains solid
Always check your net before each use, keeping an eye out for signs of wear and missing or damaged parts.
You should also check for:
- Holes, openings or breaks in the net
- Sagging
- Loose stitching or any other type of net degradation
- Bent or broken frame parts
- Broken, missing or damaged fasteners
- Worn or frayed tension ropes
If you notice any defects in your net, please be careful and immediately stop using the net. Prevent anyone else from using the net until it has been fixed.

Repairs
If a mesh breaks, we can send you a repair kit with a replacement thread (gasket). A tutorial is available on our YouTube channel that goes through the various steps to repair your net.
This solution can be used for a maximum of four meshes in a single net. If more meshes break, you will need to return your net to us. Please contact our team to find out what to do next.
This article also looks at the process in more detail.
Any other defects will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us directly so we can find the best solution as quickly as possible.
