The former Fujicolor II returns to its home port of La Trinité-sur-Mer
More than a refit, a true rebirth and a major technical challenge for this offshore racing trimaran with a glorious past (the former Fujicolor of Loïck Peyron).
“Delivery voyage completed, the former Fujicolor II returns to its home port. An immense emotion, a crazy challenge and huge pride for the whole team!
Believing in your dreams, never giving up, and moving forward with incredible partners. The real beginning of the adventure starts now.” Damien, May 16, 2026
LOFTNETS, technical partner of Damien’s legendary Trimaran
LOFTNETS is proud to bring its expertise in offshore racing catamaran nets to support this inspiring skipper and to take part in the rebirth of the legendary Fujicolor Trimaran as a technical partner.
For this large trimaran named Crédit Mutuel Arkéa - Handicap International - Humanity & Inclusion, LOFTNETS designed and manufactured in its Bordeaux workshop 2 trampolines in 50 mm Dyneema® netting, a high-performance UHMWPE polyethylene fibre, 15 times stronger than steel, yet light enough to float on water.
Damien Seguin, a sailor pushing back the limits
“I am Damien Seguin, professional skipper, double Paralympic champion, and the first disabled skipper to complete the Vendée Globe. Born without a left hand, I have always refused to let difference be a limitation. My life is a sporting, human and committed adventure, which I share daily with my community and partners.”
His career and achievements are a striking demonstration that determination, tactical intelligence and perseverance can compete with the most advanced technologies.
Heading for the Route du Rhum 2026
“It is now official: I am registered for the Route du Rhum - Destination Guadeloupe! This will be my 5th participation in this legendary race that made me dream as a child, but my very first in a trimaran.” Damien, April 16, 2026
After four months of relentless work, Loïc Peyron’s former Fujicolor 2 trimaran is accelerating its transformation and is finally beginning to resemble what Damien Seguin and his entire technical team had envisioned. Priority has been given to alternative technologies and to the ambition of reducing the boat’s carbon footprint.
The Crédit Mutuel Arkéa - Handicap International - Humanity & Inclusion trimaran has returned to La Trinité-sur-Mer, the port where it was born.
The entire LOFTNETS team wishes Damien fair winds for this new adventure aboard this legendary trimaran!
